It's 0w20 5w20 or 5w30 as it always is depending on what your warehouse carries.

I change oil & new filter every oil change. oil filters aren't expensive. Rather than trying to remember when you last changed the oil filter. That's what I do.

I change the oil filter too. Especially when the oil filter is like $10, there's no point cheaping out on that.
Engine oil is essentially the blood of your car, you want it as clean as possible for longevity.

If you read your cars manual, some manufacturers DO recommend filter changes every other oil change.
